Après un premier album, Alive débordant d’énergie, Lazarus Dream sort son successeur Lifeline dans la même trempe.

Quand l’inspiration est là, il faut toujours en profiter, Carsten Schulz et Markus Pfeffer reprennent la même formule gagnante que sur leur premier opus sorti en 2020.

Et les choses commencent de fort belle manière avec un Dead End Symphony avec Derek Sherinian aux claviers. Lazarus Dream montre ses intentions dès les premières notes, l’album est résolument tourné entre un hard rock solide avec des touches de metal progressif.

Le groupe réitère l’expérience metal prog avec Overdose of Paradise avec Jorris Guilbaud cette fois, et le résultat et tout aussi convaincant.

Ce Lifeline fait la part belle, comme son prédécesseur Alive à un hard rock plein d’énergie et d’inventivité. Tout en se démarquant avec des moments forts, notamment sur le morceau d’ouverture mais aussi  sur Mind Like A Windmill ou encore Freedoom.

Chaque titre accroche à la première écoute et on ne sent carrément pas les soixante-huit minutes d’un album solide et riche.

After a first album, Alive, full of energy, Lazarus Dream releases its successor Lifeline in the same vein.

When inspiration is there, you should always take advantage of it, Carsten Schulz and Markus Pfeffer take up the same winning formula as on their first opus released in 2020.

And things start in a very good way with a Dead End Symphony with Derek Sherinian on keyboards. Lazarus Dream show their intentions from the very first notes, the album is resolutely turned between solid hard rock with touches of progressive metal.

The band repeats the prog metal experience with Overdose of Paradise with Jorris Guilbaud this time, and the result is just as convincing.

Like its predecessor Alive, Lifeline is a hard rock album full of energy and inventiveness.

The album also stands out with strong moments, especially on the opening track, but also on Mind Like A Windmill and Freedoom.

Each track is catchy at first listen and you don’t feel the sixty-eight minutes of a solid and rich album.
