👉 [CHRONIQUE] – Stonetrip –  Run Free (2023) by Marin.

Stonetrip est un groupe australien. Fondé en 2019 à Melbourne. 5 rockers qui, pour moi, ont été élevés aux sons des groupes des années 80.

Du pur rock teinté de blues. Les influences sont multiples : AC/DC Bad Company, Thunder etc… Avant de sortir leur album, la bande à Marck (le chanteur) s’est taillé une très belle réputation à travers leur pays. Ils ont d’abord sorti un LP de 5 titres en 2021.

Ces 5 titres, on les retrouve sur ce Run Free qui est le titre de l’album. Dès les premières notes, c’est back to the futur. Amoureux du rock hard des années 80, vous êtes servis sur un plateau en or ! Dark night le premier morceau nous met de suite dans l’ambiance.

Ca va continuer tout au long des 13 compositions. Des titres très bien construits ou la voix de Mark Ritchie fait merveille.

Ce dernier, possède un réel talent. Il est né pour chanter ce genre de rock ! Il est accompagné par Mick Malusa et Jason King aux guitares, ils nous distillent les riffs qui vont bien; Associés à Con Batz le batteur et au bassiste Sebastian Barahona, ils font preuve d’une assise remarquable et d’une maîtrise de haute volée.

Chaque composition a sa propre énergie, le remarquable titre Run Free très blues, ou la ballade My Angel possèdent aussi cette force et ce feeling caractéristique du groupe. Les 5 rockers ont travaillé avec le producteur et ingénieur australien Ricki Rae de Lighthill Sound Recording Studio, la production est très bonne. Elle arrive à bien faire ressortir le dynamisme du groupe !

Les amis, ce premier album est une réussite ! Pour moi, album à posséder.

Pour moi, je lui attribue la note de 8.5/10, à ce jour, le meilleur album de l’année. Je n’ai qu’une envie, monter dans ma mustang décapotable et rouler à fond dans le désert de Simpson volume à fond !

These 5 tracks, we find them on this Run Free which is the title of the album. From the very first notes, it’s back to the future. Lovers of 80’s hard rock, you are served on a golden platter! Dark night the first song puts us in the mood. It will continue throughout the 13 compositions.

Very well built titles or the voice of Mark Ritchie does wonders. The latter has a real talent. He was born to sing that kind of rock! He is accompanied by Mick Malusa and Jason King on guitars, they distil us the riffs that go well; Associated with Con Batz the drummer and the bass player Sebastian Barahona, they demonstrate a remarkable sitting and a mastery of high quality.

Each composition has its own energy, the remarkable title Run Free very blues, or the ballad My Angel also have this strength and feeling characteristic of the band.

The 5 rockers worked with Australian producer and engineer Ricki Rae of Lighthill Sound Recording Studio, the production is very good. She manages to bring out the dynamism of the band! Friends, this first album is a success!

For me, album to own. For me, I give him the rating of 8.5/10, to date, the best album of the year. I just want to get in my mustang convertible and drive all the way through the Simpson Desert full volume!
