Jeff Scott Soto is back with Complicated, a new album for this workaholic where he reuses the musicians from his previous opus for a result that lives up to expectations.

It must be said that JSS is a prolific singer and the mystery remains as to how much time he can find to devote to a solo album. Alessandro Del Vecchio (bass/keyboards), Edu Cominato (drums) and Fabrizio Sgattoni (guitar), who were already present on Wide Awake (In My Dreamland), are back in action and show once again that these musicians have nothing to envy to past companions.

In Complicated, the emphasis is on melody but not only, since the work contains some hard-hitting tracks that remind us of the different Jeff Scott Soto periods. It takes us back more than 30 years to his early days with Yngwie Malmsteen, but also to his stints in the cream of melodic hard rock.

At the same time, Jeff Scott Soto proves to be one of the few singers with a special sound, which draws its inspiration from soul and blues. JSS gives us the good old recipes that made them successful.
