Jorn Lande est incontestablement un des chanteurs phares ces derniers temps, il le prouve une nouvelle fois avec son dernier album Over The Horizon Radar.

A l’instar d’un Ronnie Romero ou d’un Jeff Scott Soto, Jorn Lande est un véritable bourreau de travail. Cet Over The Horizon Radar est une nouvelle occasion pour Lande de montrer qu’il est une pointure dans le hard rock mélodique.

Le morceau éponyme qui ouvre l’album est un joli concentré des influences de Lande, des influences qui se ressentiront sur chaque morceau avec cette impression que le chanteur en a encore sous le capot.

On a même cette impression à certains moments que Jorn se mute en un Joe Lynn Turner sous testostérone, ce qui ne manque pas de charme.

Over The Horizon Radar n’a pas la prétention de se poser comme un album révolutionnaire, mais il cimente une nouvelle fois le travail de Jorn.

On pourra dire ce que l’on voudra, mais il est indéniable que le chanteur sait confectionner des compositions accrocheuses et entrainantes.

Like Ronnie Romero or Jeff Scott Soto, Jorn Lande is a real workaholic.

This Over The Horizon Radar is another opportunity for Lande to show that he is a master of melodic hard rock.

The eponymous track that opens the album is a nice concentration of Lande’s influences, influences that will be felt on every track with the impression that the singer still has some under the bonnet.

There are even moments when Jorn sounds like Joe Lynn Turner on testosterone, which is quite charming.

Over The Horizon Radar doesn’t claim to be a revolutionary album, but it does cement Jorn’s work once again.

One can say what one will, but it is undeniable that the singer knows how to make catchy and catchy compositions.
